CORNEAL COLLAGEN CROSS-LINKING WITH T-PRK

CXL with T-PRK is a dual treatment which is more advanced than CXL combined with a regular excimer laser. T-PRK stands for Topography-guided Photorefractive Keratectomy. This advanced laser treatment uses imaging from wavefront aberrometry, tomography and topography equipment. Using these sophisticated images of the eye, your surgeon is able to see a wider range of characteristics that cause blurry or distorted vision. T-PRK ablates the cornea to correct higher order aberrations, which are not corrected using a standard laser treatment.

By correcting higher order aberrations, CXL combined with T-PRK will strengthen the cornea, and improve vision quality. It will not remove all visual irregularities, but it will help to improve your vision both with and without corrective lenses.
